Council meetings

One of the ways in which residents can participate in municipal affairs is by attending a Council Meeting.

Meetings of Council form an integral part of the planning, policy and decision making process.

Council Briefing Meetings are held once a month, generally on a Wednesday, commencing at 9.00 am (or as determined by Council).

Ordinary Meetings of Council are held once a month, generally on the last Tuesday of each month commencing at 10.00 am (or as determined by Council).

Gallery seating within the Bundaberg Regional Council Chambers, which hosts its Briefing, Ordinary and Budget Meetings, has been increased to a capacity of 40.

To meet Workplace, Health and Safety requirements this capacity cannot be exceeded.

Council provides overflow seating within its nearby Function Room where a livestream is made available in the event that gallery seating provisions within the chamber have been exhausted.

Check-in capacity has been doubled however Council recommends attendees arrive earlier than the scheduled meeting time to allow sufficient time for this process.
