Council meetings

One of the ways in which residents can participate in municipal affairs is by attending a Council Meeting.

Meetings of Council form an integral part of the planning, policy and decision making process.

Council Briefing Meetings are held once a month, generally on a Wednesday, commencing at 9.00 am (or as determined by Council).

Ordinary Meetings of Council are held once a month, generally on the last Tuesday of each month commencing at 10.00 am (or as determined by Council).

From January 2025, Council Briefing Meetings will be held once a month, generally on the Tuesday prior to the Ordinary Meeting, commencing at 10.00 am.

Ordinary Meetings will continue to be held generally on the last Tuesday of the month, commencing at 10.00 am.

Gallery seating within the Bundaberg Regional Council Chambers, which hosts its Briefing, Ordinary and Budget Meetings, has been increased to a capacity of 40.

To meet Workplace, Health and Safety requirements this capacity cannot be exceeded.

Check-in capacity has been doubled however Council recommends attendees arrive earlier than the scheduled meeting time to allow sufficient time for this process.
