Childers Festival of Cultures
This year the festival will be celebrated over the weekend
of 25 & 26 July.
From its modest beginnings on the outskirts of Childers attracting
only 6,000 people, the Childers Festival of Cultures now draws in
excess of 50,000 people over the weekend.
Sunday is Festival Day and entry is free, so bring the whole family for a great day out in beautiful Childers!

Council Provides Snapshot of Financial Impact
Bundaberg
Regional Council has expressed its concern over the negative impacts on its
financial operations as a result of the economic downturn and State Government
Budget.
In
figures released today, Finance Spokesman Cr. Greg
Barnes has provided a snapshot of Council's financial
position and movements in its cash position since the March 2008 amalgamation.

Community Pedometer Loan Scheme
During 2008 - 2009 there were two Bundaberg Region 10,000 steps
Community Challenges held in our district where members of the public
and workplaces were able to loan pedometers to take part in the
challenge of walking 10,000 steps per day for 5 weeks. The most recent
challenge ended on 22 March 2009.
