Water and sewer connections – low density residential properties
The NTSP application can be used for residential properties (for example: single dwelling developments, single dwelling with secondary dwelling developments; and vacant residential land) wishing to connect to water and/or sewer infrastructure and install a water connection.
When requesting for a water connection, there are residential properties where the Developer, upon creating the residential subdivision, has provided water property services to each individual lot. Therefore, in some circumstances, when an applicant is requesting a water connection, they may only need a 20mm water meter installation.
Application Type | Document Requirements | Possible associated fees |

Please note: if you have a residential property that has water already on site and you are getting ready to build your new home, you will still require permission to connect to the sewer infrastructure (if within the declared sewer service area). Therefore a NTSP application with supporting plans of the new work will need to be submitted, approved and payment of the sewer application fee made before commencement of any works.
When you are ready to request for a connection, please click on the below link “Notice to Service Provider Application for Water & Sewer” to complete the application online.
Once received by Council, we will issue a tax invoice itemising the associated fees. The current fixed fees and charges can be found on our website or you can contact Water Services Planning & Delivery section for assistance.
Throughout the application and installation process, we will continue to communicate with the Applicant until the work has been completed.
