Our contracted caterer, The Waves Catering, offers a diverse range of mouth-watering options to suit any occasion. From elegant canapés and cocktail finger food to indulgent five course meals with any dietary requirements catered to.

The Waves also offers a comprehensive suite of services to ensure a flawless event from start to finish, including expertly trained staff, bar and beverage services and a curated selection of beverages. They provide nothing but the highest in professional standards with their fully trained, uniformed catering team.

We understand that every event is unique, which is why we take the time to consult with you regarding your catering needs.  The team will work closely with you to understand your vision, preference & requirements, ensuring that your specific needs are met wherever possible.

The Waves offer a full bar service for your event. We promote responsible service of alcohol and full RSA rules apply.

One of our friendly staff will partner with you to ensure you have the support required to bring your event vision to life.

Security and cleaning

The safety and comfort of our visitors is paramount. Our accredited partners can work with you to provide event security and cleaning services during and after your event.

Event styling

The region has a variety of theming companies to suit your needs. Upon appointment, we can make introductions and point you towards the best partner to execute the look and feel of your event.

Styling services include room and ceiling drapery, staging and stage sets, table decor, floristry, linen, plates, napery, glassware and cutlery, all carefully considered to carry the theme of your event. 

Our introductory hire packages include our best crockery and silverware regardless of function style.

Technical support

Either through our in house team or our partner provider, the Multiplex Sports & Convention Centre can provide all your sound, lighting, boothing & production requirements.  

Parking

Parking at the Bundaberg Multiplex is completely free and accessible from Civic Ave. 

Food and beverage

We engage The Waves Catering to provide the catering service for your event. We have a fully equipped commercial kitchen and bar services available.

Transport

Getting around Bundaberg is made easy with local taxi (131 008) or Uber services, car hire or bus services.

Smoking

As per the Queensland tobacco laws, there is no smoking inside the venue. Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas outside of the venue.

WIFI

Our venue has free wifi.

Accessibility

We are an all access venue. Ground floor entrance accessible ramp with the entire venue being accessible and wheelchair friendly. Assistance animals welcome. Accessible toilets with enough space for a wheelchair and grab bars.

Baby change facilities

Each of our accessible toilets have a drop down nappy change table.

Restrooms 

With an abundance of restrooms at the Multiplex, you can be assured there will rarely be a line up. All our facilities are modern and well presented.

Eftpos and ATM

Eftpos is not available on site.

If your event includes The Waves bar service, payment by Eftpos will be accepted.

There is no ATM on site. Please visit one of the many bank facilities in town to withdraw cash before your event. 

Photography

Bundaberg Regional Council may engage photographers to take photos of or film people attending events at the Bundaberg Multiplex Sports and Convention Centre. By attending, you agree to Council making images or recordings of you at the event and you authorise the storage, use, publication or reproduction of the images in any form and by any medium for public relations, promotional and advertising purposes, which may include newspapers, magazines, websites, social media etc. and may result in your personal information being transmitted outside of Australia. Information obtained will be handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and the information privacy principles. Please notify a Council representative if you do not wish to be photographed.
