A rates direct debit is when you authorise council to take money from your bank account on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly or half-yearly basis. Terms and conditions apply to all arrangements.

Please note: Direct debit is a method of payment only. If you are paying your rates in advance via direct debit you do not need a payment plan with Council. However if you are repaying a rates debt, that is rate arrears, by direct debit, you will also need a payment plan with Council to clarify when the outstanding amount will be paid in full.
If you have rate arrears and do not already have a payment plan, please contact Council’s Debt Recovery team to confidentially discuss your situation and your rates repayment.
Alternately, you can fill out a printable form and submit it to Council via email, postal mail or in person at one of our centres.
