About the venue
The Bundaberg Recreational Precinct is a quality regional recreational and events precinct located off University Drive, Branyan.
The Recreational Precinct offers facilities for community and sporting clubs, community recreation and the hosting of annual events including Bundaberg Regional Show, Agrotrend and several Cancer Council Events. Located close to the Isis Highway the precinct offers ease of access across the region. Bundaberg Regional airport, CQ University, and Stocklands shopping centre are in close proximity and there is abundant parking provisions in and around the precinct.
Bundaberg Recreational Precinct offers two trade display pavilions which are fully enclosed steel constructions with solid concrete flooring with multiple entrance points via doors and roller doors. Fans and powerpoints are situated throughout the pavilions providing airflow and numerous ports for power. Refrigerators are also available within the pavilions. Events such as music festivals, gala dinners, Lifeline Book Fair, poultry shows and expeditions are some of the events held within the pavilions.
Equestrian areas cater to a host of equine, cattle, and non equine events throughout the year. The expansive undercover arena and large outdoor show ring cater to multiple events. Horse championships, Queensland Horse of the Year, Circus's, Waterworld events, Pop Up Polo, Rodeo's, Dog Championships and Queensland Cattle Championships are some of the events held within the grounds on a regular basis.
Large open grassed areas have been utilised for events such as Obstacle Mud Events, Car Boot Sales, Relay for Life, Swap Meet and large Camping and Caravan rallies.
With a fully equipped canteen on site and three smaller canteens located around the grounds as well as a dedicated bar area, the required infrastructure is in place to cater to all needs,
In 2017 the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct was the venue chosen for the 32nd National Campervan and Motor Home Club of Austtralia (CMCA) Rally which brought over 900 motor homes to the precinct. In 2018 the precinct hosted the Queensland Caravan Rally.
Equipment including tables and chairs are also available on site.
