Special Olympics Australia - Bundaberg

Special Olympics Australia is part of a global inclusion movement using sport, health, education and leadership programs every day around the world to end discrimination against and empower people with intellectual disabilities.

Providing weekly sports training and regular competition for people with an intellectual disability from the age of 8.

Our volunteers create accessible sports training, coaching and competition opportunities which are offered week-in and week-out in local communities throughout Australia. The Bundaberg Club has the following Sports currently on offer.

Basketball, PCYC Multiplex, 45 Burrum Street, 1 Civic Avenue, 6pm to 7pm on Wednesdays,

Ten Pin Bowling, Bundy Bowl & Leisure (various leagues and days/times) eg Pin Pals, Saturday 9am - 10.30am,

Table Tennis, Bundaberg Table Tennis Centre, Thursday, 4.30pm to 6pm,

Swimming, Bundaberg Swimming Academy, 25 Fitzgerald St, Saturday, 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

Athletics,25 Fred Courtice, Bargara, 9am to 11.20am

Persons wishing to join SO need to register and pay a membership fee each year along with training fees when participating in the sport of their choice.
