Volunteers have
always been the lifeblood of the Childers Art Gallery, ever since it started 22
years ago in the Pharmaceutical Museum. For the past seven years has been
located in a beautiful two-storey heritage-listed building known as The Palace.
Volunteer duties may include customer service (greeting visitors, assisting
with enquiries etc.), opening and/or closing the gallery, general
administration duties, installation and demounting of exhibitions, monitoring
visitor numbers, feedback and suggestions etc.
The Childers Art Gallery is open 7 days a week, including public holidays and
each volunteer shift would be a duration of approximately 3 hours and 45
minutes.
