Youth Week 2012 - Friday 13 to Sunday 22 April 2012
One week is not enough time to do everything we have planned for youth week 2012, so we will have events and activities occurring across the entire month of April.
To get the ball rolling we have two things happening this month.
ONE
On Wednesday 18 April, 120 young people from across the Wide Bay Burnett will come together to identify the things that are effecting them, and discuss how we can all work together to design and develop solutions.
But we need a name -
If you have a great name for the summit please complete the entry form and send it back to us for your chance to win either a:

- $50 mobile phone credit
- $50 fuel voucher
The choice of prize will be yours. This competition is open to all young people aged 12 - 25 years and will close on Friday 2 March 2012.

TWO
Nominations are now open for young people age 12-25 years to attend the 2012 Youth Summit.
Do you want to be one of the 120 young people to come and discuss the things that affect you?
The Youth Summit will be held on:
Wednesday 18 April 2012 at Bargara Cultural Centre.
We are asking all young people from the Wide Bay Burnett area to put their hand up to be a part of this amazing day. Our special guest for the day will be Nathan Hulls, an inspirational youth speaker.
To nominate you will need to do two things:

To tell us about you and your future, we need you to take a photo of a pair of your shoes and write a story (A4 piece of paper) about where those shoes have been and where those shoes are going.
- Complete the short nomination form and return to the contact person in your area.
It's that simple. Nominations will close 2 March 2012, with successful nominees notified by 24 March 2012.
