Council has developed a modern Residential Aged Care Hostel at Gin Gin. It provides care for low health care needs in a pleasant cottage environment. The facility is licensed with the Federal Department of Health and Ageing and operates under strict Aged Care Standards. Funding to operate the facility comes predominantly from the Federal Government, in addition to daily care fees paid by residents.
The facility is in Mulgrave Street, adjacent to the new Gin Gin Hospital.
Council owns the facility and engaged Churches of Christ Care to manage all health care and nursing needs. Council will soon expand the facility to include rooms and nursing services for High Care residents.
