The Summit is open to young people aged 12- 25 years and will be held on 18th April at the Bargara Cultural Centre.

Council’s spokesperson for Community and Arts Cr. Judy Peters said the Summit will encourage young people to identify issues which are affecting them and discuss how to work to design and develop solutions.

Cr. Peters said there is a novel way which young people wanting to attend the summit need to nominate.

“Those wishing to attend need to take a photo of their shoes and tell a short story about where the shoes have been and where they hope to go in the future” Cr. Peters said.

Cr. Peters said organizers are also looking for a name for the summit with the author of the selected name to receive either a $50 iTunes voucher, $50 mobile phone credit or $50 fuel voucher.
