Wherever I am out and about in our great region I am impressed by the wonderful people who give their time and talents so freely to our community and who make such a huge contribution to our business success.
Our recent Business Leaders Breakfast was a fine example of the diverse range of leading businesses we have in our region and how many of them are not only leaders in their fields in our State, but are also leading the way nationally and even internationally.
Following the Breakfast we held Council's Economic Development Strategy Forum and were very pleased with the feedback and input from many businesses in the region, including Chambers of Commerce.
One of our most eagerly awaited developments is the upgrade of Bundaberg Regional Airport. Jeff Lennox and his team have done a brilliant job and all is on track, weather permitting, for the Terminal upgrade to be completed by the end of January. Negotiations are underway with various carriers and we will keep you informed of developments.
