I remember... Launch

Nearly 200 people attended the function in which the participating subjects and students were presented with a copy of the book and CD. This permanent record of local people's overseas childhoods was officially launched by Bundaberg Mayor, Cr. Kay McDuff. It was a celebration of the hard work and effort put into the project by all involved.

Several members of the Bundaberg Youth Orchestra played for guests prior to the start of the launch and we thank them for the wonderful music. The artworks completed by the students for the project were also displayed in the Library, as were photographs of the progress of I remember. A great night was had by all.

The project entailed an enormous amount of work. However, the Project Co-ordinators are very pleased with the end result and proud of the efforts of all involved.

The book/CD will be available free from the Library to members of the public. Copies will also be going to interested local schools.
