About I remember... |

| I remember... is a local history related project involving Bundaberg Library, several local schools, Bundaberg Arts Centre, ABC Radio Wide Bay and Bundaberg Community Development. The project has been made possible through the receipt of grant funding from the State Library of Queensland. I remember... involves a select number of school children interviewing local residents about their childhoods in different countries. The children will then illustrate their stories and have them published in picture book and audio CD formats. The project is designed to build an enduring record of Bundaberg's cultural diversity in the early 21st century. It will develop in the children of Bundaberg a relationship and understanding of childhood backgrounds different from their own. I remember... will also serve to foster stronger ties between the Library, schools, Council, and participants from the private sector. |
