Following heavy rainfall recently and related damage, the following roads are closed to traffic as at 18 May 2012;
Booyal Causeway - Causeway Road, Booyal
Lambs Road, Isis River (between 128 & 249 Lambs Road)
Wallaville - Goondoon Road closed between Geramanbulyan Creek and Klingstroms Road (section of road washed away).
A large number of roads in the Bundaberg Regional Council area were damaged through flooding in the last eighteen months.
Emergency repair works have been undertaken and although these roads are now open to traffic, extreme care may be necessary.

Smiths Crossing Road, Avondale - Wendlands Gully Bridge |

Motorists are advised that Smiths Crossing Road at Wendlands Gully will be closed to through traffic on Tuesday 22 May 2012 and Wednesday 23 May 2012 between the hours of 6.00 am and 6.00 pm to undertake further replacement of structural components on the timber bridge.
Appropriate signage will be displayed while the road is closed. Through traffic is requested to use the signed detour of Reads and Pollocks Road.

Cedars Road, South Bingera and South Kolan |

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has advised of a temporary closure of Cedars Road (from Nolans Pocket corner to the Isis Highway) for reconstruction works to start early in May 2012 and are expected to be completed by early June 2012, weather permitting. Work hours will generally be Monday to Saturday between 6 am and 6 pm. Reconstruction activities will include pavement strengthening and stabilization of the existing road surface and associated drainage works.
To undertake these works and ensure the safety of motorists and roadworkers, traffic signals, traffic controllers, single lane closures and speed restrictions will be used as required. These works may impact motorists travelling on Cedars Road during construction and every effort will be made to minimise the impacts.

Targo Street, Bundaberg South (Phase 1) |

Motorists are advised that a 100 metre section of Targo Street, south from the George Street roundabout, will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Tuesday 10th April 2012 to allow roadworks to be undertaken. The works on this initial stage of the reconstruction of Targo Street are expected to take 11 weeks.
Access to all local businesses including the Melbourne Hotel, Dan Murphy's and the Rum City Silver Band Hall will be maintained. Motorists are encouraged to follow appropriate roadwork and information signage to access these premises. Through traffic is encouraged to follow detour signage around the site works via Barolin Street.

Kepnock Road, Ashfield |

Motorists are advised that a section of Kepnock Road, Ashfield, between approximately 100 metres east of Belle Eden Drive and adjacent to Hallii Street, will be closed to through traffic from Wednesday 28 September 2011 for a period of approximately eight (8) months while Road and Stormwater Upgrade works are in progress.
Appropriate signage will be displayed while the road is closed. Through traffic is requested to detour using Belle Eden Drive and Hallii Street (which will be temporarily extended to link with the balance of Kepnock Road).

| BRIDGE LOAD LIMITS |
Geramanbulyan, Monduran, St Agnes Creek and Wedlands Gully Bridges |

Motorists are advised that load limits are imposed on the following Bridges:
* Geramanbulyan Bridge - Wallaville-Goondoon Road, Bungadoo - 5 tonnes; and
* Monduran Bridge - Kolan River - Monduran Road, Monduran - 15 tonnes.
Signs have been installed at the respective sites to advise motorists of the load limits. Heavy vehicles should detour through Delan Road to avoid the crossings on Wallaville Goondoon Road and there is a low level side track for heavy vehicles on Monduran Road.
Load Limits are also applied on:
* St Agnes Creek Bridge - Walla Road, Morganville - 15 tonnes,
* Wedlands Gully Bridge - Smiths Crossing Road, Avondale - 25 tonnes
