Following a well-attended and successful workshop held in late May with the National Director and Founder of Sing Australia, Colin Slater OAM, a Sing Australia group has now started in Bundaberg. The group meets each Monday evening from 7:00 – 9:00pm, at the Municipal Band Hall at the Bundaberg Showgrounds - Burrum Street Entrance.
Sing Australia is the Brain Child of Colin Slater OAM who started with 2 Choirs in Canberra in 1985 and has now expanded the network to 152 Choirs / Groups Australia wide. If You Like To Sing........... and have been told “you can't or you think you can't” then Sing Australia may be just what you are looking for. There are no auditions and no one will tell you that “you aren't what we want”. According to Colin Slater, how the voice sounds when we sing has nothing to do with the benefits that singing brings with it. It is a healthy, positive and fun pursuit open to everyone. ‘We want to bring more Australians into singing because it’s a natural human expression,’ says Colin. ‘There are so many people out there who are not yet singing because they don’t believe they’re good enough or someone has told them they can’t do it. We say, come along to Sing Australia and have some fun with us.’
