Evidence can include the following documentation:
- Australian passport
- Australian citizenship certificate or certificate of evidence of citizenship AND another form of photo identification such as a drivers licence
- Full Australian birth certificate issued before 20 August 1986 AND another form of photo identification such as a drivers licence. (Birth certificates issued after 20 August 1986 cannot be used to confirm Australian citizenship)
- If an Australian passport, citizenship certificate or certificate of evidence of citizenship is not available, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship Visa Entitlement Verification faxback service may be used
