Currently Building Projects is
engaged in the project management of the extension and overlay of the Bundaberg Airport runway. This is the first step
to entice air carriers to provide additional services to the Bundaberg Region.
Planning is currently underway to upgrade the existing terminal to meet the
Australian Government's requirements to accommodate domestic, screened, jet air
services in an effort to bring this service to the people of the Bundaberg

Construction on the Gin Gin Streetscape project is expected to commence
in February 2010, and be completed over a 12 month period.
Council has committed $1.8 million in the 2009/10 financial year to
instigate stage one and is investigating further funding for future
