Council has given preliminary approval to the single biggest development ever undertaken in Bundaberg. The Kensington Masterplanned Community on the former Rifle Range site is adjacent the Bundaberg Airport
The preliminary approval covers an area of 114.5 hectares and proposed 115 airpark access lots, 510 conventional residential, 10.7 hectares allocated to a village centre and 2.8 hectares allocated for medium density housing along with over 115 hectares of parkland. The proposed development will set a new benchmark for a quality master planned residential community in Bundaberg of a size not previously seen.
The airpark access lots will offer a unique residential opportunity to see single family dwellings accessed with road frontage together with a hangar and taxi-way access to the rear. This exciting concept provides great synergies with Council's considerable investment in the airport and will further reinforce the Bundaberg Airport as a Regional Hub for aviation.
The development identifies the high degree of confidence held by the development industry in the Bundaberg Region's huge potential as a major growth centre within Australia in the near future.
